Piraat is a strong Belgian ale, created by The Van Steenberghe brewery in 1988. It is created on the success of its Gulden Draak. The same unique wine yeasts as in Gulden Draak are used in Piraat which give this beer a very drinkable and strong character. With this beer, Jozef Van Steenberghe takes you to a tour of some unique flavours showing off brewery’s traditions.

Colour: Slightly amber with a full, white head

ABV: 10.5%

Aroma: Spicy and bittersweet

Flavour: Complex, rich, sweet, warm, and hop bitter

Finish: long, hop bitter

Averbode Abbey Beer is an honour to the history. To produce the new abbey beer, the abbey chose Brouwerij Huyghe which has its own history. 

Colour: Golden with a fine head

ABV: 7.5%

Aroma: Floral, a hint of sweetness, green apples, hop

Flavour: Sweet malt, hop character

Finish: Fresh, rich, and bitter

Gulden Draak originated in 1986 at the Van Steenberge brewery. Its name refers to the glided dragon statue at the top of the Ghent Belfry. The strength of this beer is spoken its unique glass, made with a purpose to give tribute to the legend of the glided dragon.

Colour: Dark, Caramel-coloured head

ABV: 10.5%

Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee, and alcohol

Flavour: Full-bodied, notes of chocolate, caramel, and alcohol

Finish: Long-lasting, bittersweet

Delirium Tremens is an international award winning strong Belgian ale. In the current year, this beer has received a medal at the London Beer Competition.

Colour: Pale blonde, fine and stable head

ABV: 8.5%
