While living in Australia Dan saw the light of craft beer, left advertising and started work at Sydney’s Nomad Brewing. After 2 fantastic years doing ‘a bit of everything’ he decided he was too beer promiscuous to work for one brand so started working at legendary bottleshop & distributor Beer Cartel before taking up with the now darlings of the Sydney beer scene Bucket Boys. Australia gave him his start but a longing for rain and cask beer pulled him back to London where he has been General Manager of Brick Lane institution Kill The Cat for the last 2 years. Since returning home Dan has attained his Certified Cicerone qualification and participated as a Judge in a number of Beer Awards as well as appearing in Ferment magazine, The Financial Times, Channel 4 and even on Chinese television…though he’s still trying to work out why.
