Born & Bred in Burton Upon Trent, it was natural to start a career in the local Brewing industry. Initially starting at what was “Allied Breweries” at Ind Coope Burton Brewery, later becoming part of Carlsberg. As part of my Management role in Logistics, I was trained to taste our beers & competitors to ensure Quality first but also to contribute to Innovation and Cost Reduction initiatives. Later I was also a member of the Taste Panel at Molson Coors in Burton tasting all MCBC beers & ciders, taste matching and new product development. I have also tasted beers at many CAMRA & SIBA events around the country. I no longer work directly for any Brewery, but still very much involved in the industry supplying glassware, packaging, hops, Mystery Customer visits and of course tasting beers when requested.
