Paddy Gardiner is a Level 3 Advanced @Cicerone® and WSET Level 3 qualified drinks professional with extensive experience across beer, wine, and hospitality. His background spans sensory analysis, quality control, brewing, and wine blending, giving him a deep technical and commercial understanding of the drinks industry.

He has held key roles including Global Beer Educator at BrewDog and Drinks Manager/Buyer at Côte Brasserie, where he developed beverage programmes and led buying strategies. He is currently Business Development Manager for the on-trade at Boutinot Wines, working closely with hospitality operators to build commercially successful drinks portfolios.

Paddy is also a drinks writer and photographer, with work published in Pellicle magazine, and is the founder and host of the educational podcast Beery Interesting. In addition, he sits on the advisory council for Drinks United, contributing to strategy and governance to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the UK drinks industry.

As a judge at the London Beer Competition, Paddy brings a highly informed perspective, evaluating beers on quality, value, and packaging, with a strong focus on flavour precision, drinkability, and real-world market success.
