Freddie Cobb is Head of Drinks at Vagabond Wines, where he leads the drinks programme across the company’s growing collection of London wine bars. He oversees the development of Vagabond’s complete drinks range, selecting products that combine quality, innovation, commercial relevance and a strong customer experience.

Freddie’s career has spanned vineyards, wineries, importers and drinks buying, giving him a comprehensive understanding of how beverages move from production to the consumer. Born in Porto and having spent summers in Portugal’s Douro Valley, he later studied science at the University of Edinburgh before completing a master’s degree in Oenology and Viticulture in Montpellier.

At Vagabond, Freddie is responsible for creating an adventurous and accessible drinks programme across multiple venues. His role requires him to balance emerging trends and distinctive products with the quality, value and broad appeal required by a busy on-trade business.

As a judge at the London Beer Competition, Freddie brings extensive drinks-buying experience, a technically informed palate and valuable insight into what makes a product successful within the modern hospitality market.
