Lewis Gartland is Senior Trading Manager at Morrisons, one of the UK’s largest supermarket groups. He brings valuable retail buying and category-management experience to the London Beer Competition judging panel, with a strong understanding of what makes a beer commercially relevant to today’s consumers.

Lewis began his career with Morrisons in store management before joining the company’s Corporate Graduate Scheme in 2020. Through placements across online operations, business development, wholesale buying and strategic programmes, he developed a broad understanding of the retail business. He later joined the Beers, Wines and Spirits team, where he managed categories including craft beer, ale and speciality beer, working closely with breweries and suppliers to develop ranges and identify new opportunities.
