H A A P A L A - bewery, restaurant, accomodation and sauna.
Based on an on and on Finnish farm of the same name HAAPALA (built 1868) in the Finnish country side, in Kaisa Tylers family for 5 generations, Husband and wife team Kaisa and Craig Tyler transformed the Kaisa's family farm into a working restuant and and brewery in 2018 combing their main passions in life.
The core philosophy of Haapala resturant & brewery, focuses on creating products from readily available elements. This applies both to local foraged and grown raw materials and to the use of traditional cultural elements in the design and preparation of drinks. Even the design of bottle labels is strongly influenced by the cultural arts and crafts of the Kainuu region. This allows us to create a unique product that celebrates the best of Kainuu's raw, natural beauty.
Being a restaurant also, Haapala beers are always design and paired with food element in mind and we have seasonal food and beer platters to offer new flavour experiences.
Open Monday-Saturday all year round, the brewery can be viewed live at work via the restaurant based in an old log barn.
Based in Kainuu, Finland, just 3km from Vuokatti ski resort. We have 10 rooms and available and will heat the log fired sauna for your arrival.
